In this evening class we will explore the beauty of sashiko stitching. Traditionally used in Japan as a functional embroideryfor mending work clothing, sashiko's even stitches with contrasting thread will add beauty to any project.
This class will introduce or review some basics like knot tying, running stitch, and back stitch. This is also a great class for experienced stitchers who just want to play with color and reconnect with hand sewing. We will have a variety of beautiful materials including reclaimed linen or silk fabrics in many colors.
